Service Terms
Version 1. Last updated 30 September 2026.
These terms are our offer to businesses that use Shortlist, the Submission pack or the Outplacement pack. The schedules at the end describe each service. Our data processing agreement is part of these terms.
1. Who we are
Resume Banger Hiring is the hiring side of Resume Banger. It is run by Pavel Valynets PR Beograd, a business registered in Serbia with the Serbian Business Registers Agency (APR). Registration number (MB): 67436644. Tax identification number (PIB): 114255826. Seat: Jurija Gagarina 231, 11073 Beograd. VAT: Not registered for VAT. Email: [email protected].
In these terms, we and us mean that business, and you means the business that accepts these terms. All our details are on the company details page.
2. How a contract is made
These terms, with the schedule for the service you use, are a general offer to any business, as Article 33 of Serbia's Law of Obligations (Zakon o obligacionim odnosima) allows. They contain everything a contract with us needs: what we do, the price and how we deliver it.
You accept them, and a contract is made, when you:
- tick the box that accepts these terms and then upload a pile to your private Shortlist link, or pay through Creem's checkout;
- forward a CV to your private Submission pack address after we have sent you these terms; or
- hand out or buy Outplacement pack codes after we have sent you these terms.
Silence is never acceptance. The contract is made when we receive your upload, your email or your payment.
Each contract includes the version of these terms you accepted. We record who accepted, when, and which version. You can download this version as a text file and keep it.
3. Business customers only
Our services are for businesses. By accepting these terms you confirm that you act for your business, not as a consumer, and that you may accept them for it.
Because you are a business, you agree, as Articles 12(3) and 14(2) of Serbia's Law on Electronic Commerce (Zakon o elektronskoj trgovini) allow, that Article 12(1) and (2) of that law (the information a seller must give before an order is placed online) and Article 14(1) (a separate electronic confirmation that an order was received) do not apply to your orders. Each schedule still describes its service and its price.
The employees who use Outplacement pack codes are not parties to these terms. Their use of the service is covered by our terms and privacy notice for employees.
4. Where the services can be used
For now we offer the services only for roles located in the United Kingdom, the United States, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand. In addition:
- Shortlist is never available for a role located in New York City.
- The Outplacement pack is for employees located in the United States, Australia and New Zealand. Give a code only to an employee who is in one of those countries when they use it.
- Do not use any service for a role located in another country of the European Union, including Germany, Austria and Spain, until we confirm in writing that we can take it.
If you send us work outside these limits, we may refuse it and delete what you sent.
5. Prices and payment
Each schedule gives the price of its service. Prices are in US dollars and do not include tax.
Payments go through Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Tallinn, Estonia), our merchant of record. Creem sells the service to you in its own name as a reseller, so your purchase, your invoice, tax, refunds and chargebacks are governed by Creem's buyer terms. Creem adds any VAT or sales tax that applies to you and shows the total before you pay. Your invoice comes from Creem, not from us. These terms govern what we deliver and how we handle your data.
You pay in advance: paid work starts only after Creem confirms your payment. The free part of each service comes first, and it does not oblige you to buy anything. It is one allowance for your whole organisation, worked out from the domain of your work email address, and it is shared by every colleague who uses the service. When it is used up, you can still buy the service.
The Submission pack plan renews every month until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time by writing to us, and the plan then ends at the close of the month you have paid for.
6. Delivery
We deliver within the turnaround in the schedule. Every line we quote, and every employer, title, date and qualification we write, is checked against your source before it is sent. Anything that fails the check is held for a person to look at, not delivered.
If we cannot deliver on time, we tell you. If we cannot deliver a paid order at all, we refund it in full through Creem.
7. How we use your data
We use the data you share with us only to deliver the service you asked for. We never use it to train or improve any AI model, ours or anyone else's. We never use it for anything else either: not for marketing, research or profiling, and we never sell it or share it. The only exception is a legal duty to keep or disclose it, and we will tell you about any such demand unless the law forbids it.
For Shortlist and the Submission pack, and for any list of employees you send us for the Outplacement pack, you are the controller and we are your processor. Our data processing agreement is part of these terms and prevails over them on data protection.
An employee's own CV and Outplacement pack are different: the employee gives them to us, so we are the controller and our notice for employees applies. You never see them.
How we handle the details of the people at your business who deal with us is in our privacy notice.
8. No scores: people decide
We never score, rank, recommend or reject anyone. Our tools present information for a person to review: the lines a CV contains, summaries, groups of near-identical CVs and formatted documents. They do not produce a score, ranking, recommendation or classification that decides who gets a job.
Every decision about a candidate must be made by a person at your business who understands what our output means, has read it together with the full CVs and anything else relevant, and has the authority to decide. Never use our output as the only or the main basis for a decision, or to overrule the people who review applications.
9. Your duties
You must:
- have a lawful basis for sending us each person's data, and tell applicants and candidates that a service provider using AI processes their data for you (Annex 4 of the data processing agreement has a paragraph you can use);
- send only what the role needs, and no special category data (such as health, religion, ethnic origin, trade union membership, sex life or sexual orientation) or criminal records unless it is needed and you have a lawful basis for it;
- give the notice Illinois law requires if you use our output for a role in Illinois;
- keep your own copy of our output as your record, because we delete ours (California's rules on automated-decision systems, for example, expect employers to keep such records for four years);
- check that a knockout question we suggest is lawful and related to the job before you use it;
- keep your private links, forwarding address and codes to yourself, because they are the only key, and tell us at once if one gets out.
10. What our tools cannot do
AI can miss a line. In a Shortlist sheet, 'not found' means our tool quoted no line for that must-have. It does not mean the applicant lacks it: check the CV yourself.
A scanned CV with no text in it may be unreadable. The sheet lists every file we could not read.
Summaries, formatted CVs and rewrites are drafts for a person to check. We check every quoted line, employer, title, date and qualification against the source, but read the output before you rely on it or send it on.
Knockout questions are suggestions, not advice.
11. Who owns what
You own what you send us and what we make for you, including your house format. We claim no rights in them. You give us only the right to use them to deliver the service to you, under these terms and the data processing agreement. Our software, prompts and methods stay ours.
12. Confidentiality
We keep everything you send us, and everything we make for you, confidential. Each of us keeps confidential anything the other shares that is not public. This does not cover information that is or becomes public through no fault of the one who received it, or that the law requires to be disclosed; then the other side is told first, where the law allows.
13. Our responsibility
We do the work with reasonable care and skill.
Where the law allows it, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or business, or any decision you make about a candidate. Our total liability for all claims arising in any 12 months is limited to the amount paid for the services in those 12 months, or 100 US dollars if nothing was paid.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, intent or gross negligence, or anything else the law does not allow to be limited.
You are responsible for your right to send us the data you send and for your hiring decisions. If someone makes a claim against us because you sent data without that right, or because of a decision you made, you will cover our reasonable costs of that claim.
14. Pausing and ending
We may refuse or pause work that breaks these terms, for example a pile for a role in New York City, or data we believe was obtained unlawfully. We tell you why.
You can stop using a service at any time, and ask us to delete your data sooner than its schedule says. Each order ends when we have delivered it and deleted its data. A Submission pack plan ends when you cancel it.
We may stop offering a service by telling you by email at least 30 days before. Paid work already under way is finished or refunded.
Refunds follow Creem's buyer terms. We also refund through Creem the unused part of what you paid if we fail to deliver, or if you stop using a service because you object to a new sub-processor (see the data processing agreement).
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia. Any dispute goes to the court with jurisdiction over our registered seat in Serbia. We will always try to settle a disagreement by email first.
The terms of the data processing agreement that data protection law requires to be under a particular law follow the rules in that agreement: for customers in the United Kingdom, the law of England and Wales.
16. Changes, language and notices
We may change these terms. A change applies only to orders made after we publish it; the version you accepted keeps applying to your earlier orders. Each version has a number and a date, and we send any earlier version on request.
For a running Submission pack plan, we email you a change at least 30 days before it applies to you. If you do not want it, cancel the plan before then.
These terms are written in English, and the English text is the one that counts.
We send notices to the email address you use with us. Send yours to [email protected].
Schedule 1: Shortlist
- What you send and get: You send the applicant export (a zip of CVs, or the ATS or Indeed download) and three must-haves. You get one sheet with every applicant and, for each must-have, the line from their CV that proves it, or 'not found'. You also get blind one-page summaries, near-identical CVs grouped, CVs that copy the job ad flagged, and three knockout questions for the next posting.
- Our promise: We don't score, rank or reject anyone. Every applicant is in the sheet and you decide.
- Turnaround: Within 24 hours of the upload.
- Price: The first 50 applicants are free. A whole pile of up to 1,000 applicants is $149, and each later role is $149.
- Your data: Files are used only to make your sheet and are deleted 7 days after delivery.
Details
- A pile can hold up to 1,000 applicants, as PDF, Word or text files, or zips of them. Each CV file can be up to 10 MB.
- You give three must-haves and, if you like, up to two nice-to-haves and the job ad.
- The sheet has every applicant. For each must-have it shows the line from their CV that proves it, or 'not found'. It never has a score, rank, rating or match count.
- The job ad is used only to flag CVs that copy it, on our own server. It is never sent to an AI model.
- Knockout questions are written from your must-haves alone.
- A pile that is never delivered is deleted 30 days after upload at the latest, and an upload that is started but not finished after 24 hours. After deletion your link says so, and we keep only an order record with no applicant data.
- Only for roles located in the United Kingdom, the United States, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand, and never for a role located in New York City.
Schedule 2: Submission pack
- What you send and get: You forward a CV (and any notes) to your own address with us. You get back the CV in your house format, an anonymised version (no name, contact details or employer names) for non-exclusive roles, and a five-line client summary from your notes.
- Our promise: Nothing is added that is not in the CV: every employer, title, date and qualification in our output is checked against the source before it is sent.
- Turnaround: The same working day, usually within 4 working hours.
- Price: The first 3 CVs are free. Then $59 a month for 100 CVs, cancel any time.
- Your data: CVs are used only to make your documents and are deleted after 30 days.
Details
- Your forwarding address is yours alone. Put any notes about the candidate in the email.
- Send one CV already in your house format with the first one, so we can match it. Until then we use a plain format.
- The plan covers 100 CVs a month. CVs over that are held, not charged, and we ask you what you want done with them.
- The anonymised version leaves out the name, contact details and employer names. The client summary uses only what your notes and the CV say, and adds no judgment of its own.
- Deletion after 30 days means 30 days after we deliver the pack, or 30 days after we receive a CV we could not process. It covers the CV, your notes, the documents we make and the emails in our mailbox that carry them. The example CV you send for your house format is deleted after 30 days too. We keep your house format itself (layout, headings, fonts and logo, with no candidate data) while you use the service, and delete it when you ask.
- Only for roles located in the United Kingdom, the United States, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand.
Schedule 3: Outplacement pack
- What you send and get: Each affected employee who opts in gets a rewritten CV (Word and PDF), a LinkedIn headline and About section, and a one-page 30-day search plan.
- Our promise: HR never sees an employee's documents. Nothing is added to a CV that is not in the employee's own source.
- Turnaround: Within 48 hours of the employee opting in.
- Price: The first three employees are free. Then $79 a person.
- Your data: Employees upload their own CV or LinkedIn PDF. Documents go only to them and are deleted after 30 days.
Details
- You get a private page with codes to hand to the people leaving. Each code works once.
- Your page shows only whether each code has been used. You never see an employee's CV, documents or email address.
- Each employee who uses a code accepts our terms and privacy notice for employees, must be 18 or over, and is the only person who receives their documents.
- We delete each employee's upload, email address and documents 30 days after we send their pack.
- Only for employees located in the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
